Type 1+2 lightning and surge arresters
The combined type 1+2 lightning arresters are used at the boundaries of lightning protection zones 0 and 1, (according to IEC 1312-1 and EN 62305) . They are used for lightning current equipotential bonding and elimination of switching surges that originate in power supply systems entering the building. The NSP-T12 series are equipped with high energy gas discharge tube for equipotential bonding between N and PE.
The NSP-T12-12,5 series arresters are mainly used in LPL II applications, e.g. industrial and administration buildings, schools, supermarkets and cathedrals. The NSP-T12-25 arrester is used in LPL I applications in, e.g. hospitals, banks, mobile operator stations, water-stations, power plants, airport buildings for air traffic control and structures with explosive risk. These arresters are designed for installation in the main switchboard of an installation.
